Tasting Notes:
Ever wonder why the biggest guy in the class is always named "Tiny"? Well, maybe you haven't, and if not, then
you will never question how Petite Sirah was named, because it is anything but "petite" (small). Quite possibly
the richest, darkest, most tannic and extracted variety in the genus "vitis", Our 2006 Petite Sirah lives up to the reputation of the variety. The aromas are deep and brooding, suggesting blueberries, mulberry, chocolate, tar and blackberry jam, with rich nuances of toasted oak and vanilla. On the palate the wine is concentrated and deep, but not excessively tannic. This wine is a perfect companion to the heartiest of fare, including barbequed ribs, curried lamb, sloppy Joes, and haggis.
